Codic Engine.Net: Participation Mind if I Help? No I don't; welcome aboard! I welcome those who wish to offer feedback or help with the project.
Feedback: Do you have suggestions, comments, or, most importantly, compliments about the Codic Engine.Net? If so, you can email me at Kaine (a) PhoenixPo.com. I will not provide a link to the email here, because SPAM bots search sites, looking for email links, and add emails to their list of spam if it finds them. This email is fairly new and since it's under my newer alias, I would rather avoid spam altogether.
Add My Code Set: All-righty. I have no problems with this. If the code set will be used, I will very readily include it in the Engine. Code sets must have keyletters and spaces between keyletters. If it's designed directly after the Geek or Furry Codes, there is no problem whatsoever. I'll add it, but be patient; it takes two and a half hours to type up a code set and test it--if there's no customized decoding and encoding needed. The more complicated the choices, the more likely I will need to spend some time getting it ready and perfect. I aim for quality--keep that in mind. I will not accept code sets based on sex, porn, blasphemy, or anything not G/PG-rated. If it is completely against my religious beliefs or very risqué, won't accept it. This is my project and I have control of the censorship. If your code set has curse words, I will change most, if not all, of those to acceptable wording. I try to transcribe the code set exactly into the Engine, so I will refrain from editing existing code sets as much as possible. Please, please contact me if you are remotely interested; I won't mind and will tell you the straight-up truth if your code set can or can not be added. If it cannot be added, I will bend the code over backwards trying to add it--believe me! I want every code set in the Engine.
Graphic Design & Fan Art: This is one part I don't mind leaving to someone else for now. If you want to submit site graphics, I welcome you with open arms. I will very readily give people credit for artistic and design stuff; it's a bit sticky when you ask about helping with the actual Engine's programming. Anyway, if the Engine gains in popularity, I would like to give it its own domain name. I will probably look for someone else to administer the domain, if I don't get to it before then. They can have admin access to the domain, as far as I am concerned, because the Engine will be a web service provided by PhoenixPo.com, so you won't see the code. Instead, you can do a bulletin board, discussion stuff, or whatever floats your boat (as long as it looks nice and as long as it promotes the Engine instead of defaming it). I will work with people like that as closely as they want. Whatever methods they want opened on the Engine, I will open them to ensure that site functions flawlessly. Fan art for Kaine is also appreciated. K likes fan art...
Help With Programming the Engine: Here's where I get scared. I dislike showing my code to others who might run off with it and the credit. I'm not a glory hog; I just don't want someone else to get my code and then everyone else think its his or her project or creation and that I am just one of the many helpers enlisted by him/her. See where I am getting? With that said, if I find people who are perfectly capable of and reliable for correctly programming the code set's class file (which is not that difficult), they will see that part. Heck, if it's in XML one day, I'll release the schema for everyone to see and submit code sets. The user database is already in XML...
