Codic Engine.Net Service: Web Services Quick Downloads: Consumer Application Page--The ASPX Code to get you started. Consumer Application Code--The back-end, codebehind file (rename a .vb file) Available Methods--The methods available for you to call.
What is a Web Service? A web service puts the Engine on your site--no more frames, no more artificial Java stuff--just the main game. Your web provider must allow you to use the .Net Framework for this, though. Currently, we only have a walkthrough under "What You Need" for Visual Studio .Net users. All everyone sees is your site decoding their code. What really happens is the script uses XML to call the Engine from your site, submit a code to be decoded, and the Engine sends the answer back to your site without the user knowing. We have made some functions of the Engine open to everyone and will extend the available functionality as time goes on.
Why is it Free? Are you saying you want to pay for it? Sure, you can donate to the site (maybe receive some extra feature to your service), but this is free to everyone. We want the Engine used. In order to satisfy one of our objectives, make the Engine widely known, respected, and employed, we want to make this free. We also hope to make up to the open source geeks out there by at least making something open to the public.
