Fun Memories

I finally reached the epitome of laptop computers; welcome to the industrial/high-end division!

Its nickname was "Overkill" for the first few months I had it.  After all, during that time the most processing power anyone ever saw in a laptop was 800MHz and 128MB RAM (sometimes 256).  It was also the first laptop with an internal CD-RW drive.

In January 2003, I recognized the laptop was finally getting behind the times, and my demand for computing power for experiments could not be satisfied.  This began the creation of "MAGE", the next computer on the list.

This isn't a "fun memory," but I had huge problems with this laptop's motherboard.  Tech support didn't replace it the first few times, so I had to send it back half a year later.  Oh, well.  I still loved the laptop--especially the fact Sager always came out with the latest technologies first.
