It's been a while since I posted to the log, so I will provide a current summary of all active PhoenixPo.com W&D projects:
ConTrak Systems: Currently in version 0.4 and v1 alpha. All major work under the modules pertaining to users, security, structure, registration, art show, auction, and dealer room has been complete. I plan to add receipts and quick badge views to the reg module and a receipt viewer to the auction module (if I haven't done it yet) and ConTrak Systems will be in beta.
ConTrak Systems is PhoenixPo.com W&D's flagship web application. ConTrak manages fan-based convention information and has such amenities as thorough security, automatic badge printing, and auction lot on-the-fly grouping. The software will be available for other conventions April 2005.
Financial Game: Currently in version 1.1.19 and last updated 2005-01-16. Almost all development time has been focused on completing the game administrator section. The user section is almost complete and the game admin section has two more features to add. After this, only the master admin section requires completion, which will involve much code reuse from the game admin section. The initial project estimate of 80 hours still holds; 58.5 hours have already gone into development.
The Financial Game teaches children about real-world asset acquisition. The game is being developed for a customer around the Greensboro, NC area.
ResNet Work Order Entry System: This project is complete. An ASP .Net version has been considered. Probability to develop an ASP .Net version: 30% after January 2005.
The WOES distributes work orders to members of the ResNet staff at UNCG.
SSSAthletics.org: This project is complete (circa 2002). An ASP .Net version has also been considered. Probability to develop an ASP .Net version: 75% after May 2005.
SSSAthletics.org is an athletics web site. It is the first site PhoenixPo.com W&D designed and coded that used any sort of programming. Content is maintained by the school's coaches and PhoenixPo.com W&D contributes by photographing games once every season.
Summary: We will continue to develop our current web applications before embarking on new pursuits for the month of January. As for February, we should be able to take on one additional project, be it new or continuing. Our aim is to develop quality code and web applications, even though we have only one developer.
