I saw the Ultimate Frisbee team practicing on
the EUC lawn today and decided to
practice as well. I can throw Frisbees just fine, but I'm
speaking of practicing my action photography skills. For
those keeping track, this picture was taken at 1/1600 sec. at
f/4 (119mm ISO-200).
I'm getting better at photography, though I
really should have been indoors working on the FinGame.
The interesting thing is I have never once considered
photography as a viable career path (strange). I probably
do not because I'm still under the impression anyone can take
pictures like mine and I really don't know what photographers
make.
Coming back from class on Wednesday
(2004-11-03), I saw this grand wreck on Battleground Ave.
Though it involved two cars, it took up three lanes and the
median (mainly due to debris). One of the cars had hit a
telephone pole and split it (the cabling prevented the top part
from falling). The radiator was still steaming and police
had not arrived, which signaled to me the wreck had just
occurred. The point I would like to make here is that I
had my camera with me and could easily have stopped to take
pictures. However, is it legal to do so, or even ethical?
I'm too contentious, so I'll never make it as a real
photographer.
