ConTrak Systems: Features Overview 

This section provides an overview as to the features ConTrak Systems offers, plus some technical information.  For in-depth information on a particular feature, please see that section.

Purpose:  To construct a convention management system that handles multiple conventions at one time, uses permissions for user accounts (a complex security scheme), and allow for the system to handle multiple aspects of a convention, such as convention registration, an art show, and the auction.  The system should also work over a wireless network.

Programming:  ASP .Net 1.1, C# code, custom code library, custom user controls, MS Access back end

Registration:  Add registrations, automatic badge numbering by badge type, search registrations, output search results (or all registrations) to MS Excel, badge summary report, group summary report, automatic badge printing, user-definable badge scheme (user defines the badges and numbering to be used for the convention), importing badge schemes from previous conventions, user-customizable registration survey, and data import from Acteva.

Art Show:  Artist listing, import artist from registration data, artist art listing, sales and receipt printing, attendee check out, artist reconciliation report, and at-convention art report.

Auction:  Lot entry, at-auction bid entry and quick info screen, auction check out, and auction reports.

Dealer Room:  Dealer information manager.

Multiple Convention Capacity:  ConTrak can handle a large number of conventions within the same system.

Convention Types and User Permissions:  Avoid re-assigning users permissions to new conventions by giving some users access to your type of convention.  After this, specific users will have a base set of permissions to any new convention created in your convention type.

Multiple Permissions:  Convention managers can assign users permission via individual permissions and/or roles for both a single convention and the convention type.  Therefore, there are four possible ways to grant users access to your convention--perfect for those who want solid control!

Only the Modules You Want:  If you don't want to use the features (registration, auction, etc.) ConTrak provides, you can configure ConTrak not to allow access to these features for every convention you manage.  Thus, ConTrak grows with your needs!

Features for Version Two:

Pictures:  Online convention photo album, add/remove pictures, album manager, and setup information.

Finances:  Transaction input, financial worksheet, output to MS Excel, account manager, and financial reports.

To Do List:  User's to-dos, search by topic, assign to-dos to other convention workers based on dates, and import previous convention to-dos.
