This was one of my free shooting nights, so named because I don't have anything scheduled beforehand and just
show up at a random attraction (just as I did the previous night). I chose Spookywoods again because only two attractions were
open this night and I was unsure if I'd be able to shoot this year at the other. I enjoy working with the crew of Spookywoods
and everyone is very inviting, not to mention I have an open invitation to shoot there at any time.
After a few fun midway shots,
I picked up where I left off--trying to get some screams by riding the back of the tram's tractor. You may notice some particulate
in many of the tram pictures. This dust was being kicked up by the tractor's big wheels; I made sure to clean the camera's lens
every time the tram made a stop. Some shots turned out and others didn't--standard fare for scare photography.
After the tram shots, I visited the graveyard, but didn't stay too long as people were coming through. So,
instead, I camped out in the Crystal Lake cabin. Jason can certainly hold still! Freddie even made a visit and the shot I have
of him, which I really like, was one of those spur-of-the-moment things that the actor did. I looked at his pose and asked him
to remain like that while I took a shot. For reference, the shot was 6 seconds at f/5, ISO 400, with a hand-held manual flash
originating from two o'clock relative to the frame.
