Haunted Attraction Photography by Christopher Hall

This post continues what I mentioned in the previous day's post. During the day, I visited the camera shop and picked up a new flash gun, a larger camera bag, and even found a proper case for the tripods. Every year, it seams, my collection of gear grows and I come up with more ways to shoot haunts. Quite a fun time.
For this night, I started out in the house before people came in, taking pictures of the mirror room. I then took some successful test video of the first room in the house (check our facebook page). After that, I returned to the main haunt and took some shots of the new scenes. I worked this night like a formal shoot instead of the casual shoot that it was.
During the shoot, a family of three passed a scene I was shooting. The mother was scared of everything. The lineup of the individuals, her experssion, and her being genuinely scared of everything made it very fun to shoot them. I popped up in several scenes, causing the son to ask how many photographers were in the attraction. Just one, and he knows the byways (that's why my first night walk-through is important). People like the mother are rare and wonderful to shoot.
