While not a haunted attraction (thereby not counted
towards the total number of pictures on this site), Maize Adventure is
associated with Spookywoods. They asked me to take some pictures
on this say, so I obliged.
The pictures on this site are always posted
in sequence. I began on the three floor tower, wandered through
the maze, and ended on the tower. While in the maze, I tried to
concentrate on group candids and especially those involving children.
My favorite shots are with children trying to punch the card, parents
helping, and kids looking out on the bridge. I succeeded at some
points. The central bridge was a good place to take shots, though
I wanted pictures of families at each station.
As for the technical aspect, I took away a little blue on most shots
during editing. This makes the corn stand out more and seems to
help with contrast. Due to this being live and not having time to
set up shots with people, I left the camera on automatic metering,
meaning some shots include a blue sky while others have it washed out.
Over all, that seems fine. I also had a chance to use filters from
my collection. You may notice the enhanced colors in the last few
images on the page. I used a warm-up on the corn and a blue and .6
ND grads on the sky.
